Unicycle Across Canada for Invisible Children

Welcome. This is the website for my current adventure: traveling the 4700 KM across Canada from Victoria to Ottawa on one wheel. The goal of the trip is to raise awareness and money for Invisible Children.

Invisible Children is an organization dedicated to ending the longest running war in Africa. Their main objective is to free the child soldiers who make up over 90% of Joseph Kony's Lord's Resistance Army (LRA).

Frequently Asked Questions

Who are the Invisible Children?
The child soldiers of Northern Uganda. Abducted at ages as low as 11, child soldiers make up about 90% of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA).
When did you start, when do you plan to finish?
I started my first day of riding on 11 April 2009. I am hoping to reach Ottawa by the end of June.
Why a unicycle?
I have been riding unicycles for almost seven years and they have almost completely replaced other means of transportation for me. I haven't owned a bicycle since I got my first unicycle. The single wheel has proven to be a great ice-breaker and has helped me meet people, get food, donations, accommodation, and media attention.
How far do you ride each day?
Through the mountains I rode around 40 to 60 kilometres per day. I plan on averaging about 80 kilometres per day over the whole trip.
How are you raising money?
The preferred way to donate is through the PayPal account or by sending a cheque - see the Donate page.
